After having my bags lost on a trip (along with hundreds of dollars in equipment), I was told by the airline that they didn’t owe me anything. That didn’t sit right with me. So I did what any determined lawyer would do: I researched the law. What I found shocked me. Not only did the airline owe me compensation, but they could face legal penalties for denying it. Armed with the facts—and a firm understanding of passenger rights—I got every dollar of my replacement expenses reimbursed.

Since then, I’ve helped friends and family fight back in similar situations, from lost luggage to denied boarding, and discovered that aviation law was where I could make the biggest impact.

I’m a New York–based lawyer, and I started Airclaim Legal Services to give regular travelers a powerful, affordable way to assert their rights and get what they’re owed—without hiring an expensive attorney or wading through airline fine print.
